A Little About Me...

Growing up in a quiet suburb of Philadelphia, I had the chance to cultivate a diversity of interests: science, writing, literature, music, art, dogs. At the University of Pittsburgh—where I picked up a B.S. in Neuroscience and a B.A. in Economics in April 2013—I penned hundreds of newspaper articles and editorial cartoons, all inspired by desire for a freer, smarter and more compassionate society.
Today you can find me in hot pursuit of such desires. After having lived the potential of university science outreach programs while at Pitt, I've seized the opportunity to chase my dream of a nationwide science outreach movement, of a system that reduces the cost of partnerships and dramatically enhances K-12 science education through positive mentoring. The result? Sci-Inspire -- the "Uber" of science outreach, now connecting K-12 educators with STEM mentors in New York City and Washington, D.C.
In addition, I lead web development for one of the most influential online science magazines for K-12 teachers and students, Science News for Students. I find this massively fun and rewarding.
Also, apparently since August 2016 I can say I'm a neuroscience PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania. Evidence below...
