Sci-Inspire is my labor of love. I was hired out of college to chase my dream of using technology to expand the benefits of K-12 science outreach. Now Sci-Inspire has pilot locations in New York and Washington, D.C. and continues to grow.
Sci-Inspire came from my handiwork, from the ground up. Built on the PHP-powered Drupal framework, Sci-Inspire is a social network that automatically connects science volunteers at university and colleges with K-12 educators, all to boost science attitudes and aptitudes in American youth. I built custom modules to accomplish the science outreach match-making, as well as integrated real-time chat functionality with Node.js and Socket.io. Learn more below. |
